German criminals employed by the Munich police stole 30 works of art from the 2016 auction, all of which they claim are forgeries. They are trying to challenge the authenticity of the same with false forensics.
One of them is the work of a collection for which (among other proofs of authenticity) I have a letter from the author Mihail Petrov sent to Mr. Zoran Markus from Soko Banja, where he stayed for his recovery in 1979.
Of the 2 listed works in the letter, the painting was seized in Germany. The second work of the magazine MISAO is part of my collection.
Because of the fraudsters from Germany, I feel the need to remove the stain from Mr. Saronjic Sava, as well as the Serbian avant-garde that the German forgers (police and prosecution) brutally tried to destroy.
I received your letter and photos of my paintings:
- The work titled: “Zenitistic Attack on Bourgeois Thought (original title: Misao, from 1923”. This is a drawing, made on a cover of Thought 1922, along with additional 14 drawings, made on inner pages. The magazine size is 24x16cm.
- The worked titled “An Symphony of Zentism, or: Telescopes of the Future”, from 1923, size 33×24, egg tempera on canvas.
I am immensely grateful for recovery of long forgotten pieces, that may bring you more light to dimmed era of avnagarde events of ’20.
Soko Banja
October 14th, 1979
Sincerely yours,
Petrov, ’79
