(42 works of art seized from an auction in Germany in 2016)

TRANSLATION:
Translation of picture 13: Appraisal dated 11/12/2014, DADA DZEZ, Gouache and ink on paper 32.3 x 22 cm, signature in the lower middle: Dragan Aleksic, 1922. It was done by a famous Serbian writer, journalist, literary critic and the founder of the Serbian DaDa movement, DRAGAN ALEKSIC (1901-1958), created in 1922, which confirms the authentic signature… The work comes from the heritage of Bosko Tokin and all stylistic elements come from poetic constructivism and Dadaism, the rhythm of geometric shapes determines the construction of the painting, painting tools, iconographic and compositional structures mark this work of art. Signed by Nikola Kusovac, art historian, retired museum advisor”
Assessment: The authenticity of the work is very doubtful. Due to the more critically noticed use of the Cyrillic alphabet, the authenticity should also be confirmed by “pushing” the authenticity report, which sounds similar.
The finding refers to all 4 confiscated works.
