Frozen in the past

Germans, Americans, English, French, Dutch, Belgians, Croats…

Why are they frantically buying everything related to Dadaism, Zenitism and Surrealism from the area of ex-Yugoslavia???

Of those fifty authors, there may be a total of 1,000 copies of their works – some in museums and some in private collections. Paja Jovanović alone painted about 1000 pictures.

Only in our Serbia it is worth nothing.

I received permits to export from Serbia for 40-50 works of art by authors that no museum in Serbia has. I didn’t want to ask for even more permits, because that all costs time and money, and I would get them for my entire collection. I keep the received certificates. It is possible that one day when Irina Subotić, Ješa de Negrija, Jasna Jovanov and others like them are no longer among us, and when new generations come, all of this will get the place it deserves.

By the way, in the book that includes 126 of the most important Dadaists in the world (Cabaret Voltaire, Zurich), the only Serb who was there was Ljubomir Micić.

I am afraid that in the future, Serbia will buy works of art from those authors at foreign auctions, whose works irresponsibly left Serbia.

Does anyone wonder why the Swabians don’t send the confiscated works to Serbia, and they transferred the case to Serbia?! My answer is: the forensics done by the Swabians is FAKE and by sending the confiscated works for inspection, each of our institutes in Serbia would have established in 10 minutes that the findings were falsified.
